The surgery has definitely helped with all my symptoms, I now have no pain in my knee at all and the only pain around my hip is at the site of the incision and the muscles around it. I know I have a little way to go with my recovery, but it is life changing to be relieved of the constant pain and stiffness and I am so grateful to Mr Asopa for everything he has done.
I would definitely recommend Mr Asopa to anyone who requires hip replacement surgery, I honestly can’t imagine that I could have received better treatment.

ACL RECONSTRUCTION SURGERY
“Mr Asopa was balanced in his assessment regarding the likely outcome of the procedure, and I felt confident afterwards that I was going to be in safe hands.”
I went to see Mr Asopa, who I chose from a BUPA recommended list. We discussed my injury, at which point he arranged for X-rays and an MRI. He presented the findings to me and said I could either do nothing and try to compensate for the deficiency using physiotherapy and strength training, or I could elect to have surgery.
In July last year I booked an appointment to see Mr Asopa again as I was ready to have the surgery. I had tried osteopathy, but it hadn’t been sufficient given that I was experiencing pain whilst playing padel. We repeated the X-rays and MRI, and the prognosis was still the same, at which point I elected to have the surgery.

“By week 10, my stride was completely normal; I was walking like I was in my twenties again! I was going out for long, brisk walks and enjoying them very much. I couldn’t believe the difference from before my hip replacement.”
I am doing so much more in general now. The gardening that I simply wasn’t able to do before my surgery is possible again now. I was on a step ladder pruning a tree for three hours and felt absolutely fine doing so.
Mr Asopa’s positive attitude is infectious. I really feel that it helps you recover quickly. The whole experience has exceeded my expectations; it was a very positive experience.
The surgery has reversed my age. I have gone from being disabled to being able-bodied and doing the things I enjoy again.

Before my total hip replacement, I was having increasing discomfort and pain in my left hip when walking. I was unable to play tennis or badminton, which I had previously played 2 or 3 times a week all year round.
I made the decision to have surgery because I felt that if I did not deal with my condition, I would lose my general fitness. My health insurance provider gave me the names of several specialists. I Googled them and chose Mr Asopa, mainly because of his interest in sports injuries.

This is a case study about Mr Asopa, who performed joint replacement surgery on my Arthritic hip. I went to see Mr Asopa about my hip as it was getting almost impossible to walk. At all points along my journey, Mr Asopa treated me with kindness and care. He is clearly a surgeon in demand, but I didn’t once feel as though I wasn’t important. His contact extended well after the operation itself and he frequently enquired as to how the recuperation was going. He is professional, but has not lost the ability to really connect with his patients.
